Explore Megève’s Nordic ski area

Nordic skiing is a significant discipline in Megève. The sports events, sports clubs and medals won by budding young competitors every winter are proof of that! There are 3 sites and 38 kilometres of cross-country skiing slopes here, with something for every level of ability and for all styles of Nordic skiing.

Explore the magnificent trails for skating or traditional Nordic skiing. Through the fir tree forests and across sunny plateaus, come and enjoy a wide range of routes, ranging from introductory ones to the most technical of loops! Avid cross-country skiers, this ski area has almost 40 km of slopes for you, covering all categories, from green to black!

Itineraries to suit different methods!

Megève is the ultimate natural destination and is the perfect resort for cross-country skiing, far from the crowds. Fun itineraries, contemplative itineraries, thrilling itineraries or introductory ones… Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, you want to burn off some energy or just enjoy the view, the choice is yours!

Introductory itinerary:
The slopes of Planay-Planellet often have some surprises up their sleeve for nature lovers: see a chamois or deer as you turn around a bend, a bird of prey flying over the treetops… This is a haven of peace where the silence is only broken by the rushing waters of a stream, in a preserved environment, far from urban life. A corner of nature reserved for recharging your batteries and finding yourself.

Fun itinerary:
La Livraz is an area suitable for the whole family and devoted to having fun. The teens and thrillseekers will enjoy the bumps and jumps, and families will appreciate this semi-enclosed site with gentle slopes, perfect for children just starting out with cross-country skiing.

Contemplative itinerary:
Get a break from your daily routine, venture off the beaten track, explore new horizons… Our ski schools offer the chance to take part in an introduction to biathlon at La Livraz (Biathlon rifle shooting nearby) for the whole family. This beginner’s session is a fun introduction to a sport that is quickly gaining in popularity.

Thrilling itinerary:
With steep slopes and technical bends, Javen loop is a favourite for those looking for a challenge and to push their limits. It is a technical itinerary, but you will be rewarded with some great views over Lake Javen, Mont d’Arbois and Mont-Blanc!

Top-quality slopes for all levels of ability in an exceptional setting under the Aiguilles Croches and Cote 2000. At La Livraz you can try out a wide range of Nordic activities including an introduction to biathlon, sledging and hiking along the trails. Every year, big international competitions are held here; proof of the high quality of the area, that can be accessed by car or on the free MegBus shuttle service. People come to La Livraz for sport, relaxation, wellness, to enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat! People come back thanks to the magnificent beauty of the surrounding peaks and mountain chains.
