The teams stop in the village on their way between Savoie and Haute Savoie, offering an ideal opportunity to take part in this adventure that crosses the Alps in ten stages, covering more than a thousand kilometres. The "Challenge Megève" is this highlight of the stage: a unique at Cote 2000. This offers both children and adults the opportunity to meet the mushers and get close to the 400 dogs that pull the sleds.

Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc is one of the last remaining playgrounds for these navigators of the great white seas. Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc is also the story of a dream... a dream of great adventures across our Alpine mountains, even though the standard for this sport had long been to race over frozen but flat area.
This dream, imagined by Nicolas Vanier and Henry Kam, became reality in January 2005 with the first ever Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc.
More than just a sporting competition, Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc is an adventure with a capital A in this era when skidoos have replaced sleds even in the icy wilderness of the great north. It promotes a certain vision of the sport, focussing on the preservation of nature and the environment.
